JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Accountant, maintains accurate records of Accounts Receivables, and oversees the Junior Clerks in the Billing Unit. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the operation of the Billing System by verifying accuracy and efficiency; implement and monitor billing procedures and controls to ensure timely and accurate invoices.
- Maintain records of all accounts receivable, monitor and manage outstandings, ensure timely collection of payments, identify and address overdue accounts.
- Supervise Junior Clerks within the billing unit, assign tasks and monitor their performance.

- Prepare and present regular financial reports on billing and accounts receivable status to Management and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulations related to billing and accounts receivables and provide documentation and explanation during internal and external audit.
- Identify opportunities to improve the billing and accounts receivable processes and procedure and implement best practices to enhance the unit.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree in Accounting & Finance, or ACCA (Certified Accounting Technician) Level 3.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in finance or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a supervisor, demonstrating adept leadership skills in overseeing teams and driving operational success.
- At least one (1) year experience within the logistics, transportation, marine facility sector, or trade/port industry.

The Senior Surveillance Officer is responsible for assisting in the overseeing and managing all aspects of surveillance operations, the deployment of surveillance technologies, assisting in the implementation of surveillance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the security and safety of personnel, assets, and facilities and collaborate with law enforcemet agencies, as required.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in managing the operation of the surveillance department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, plan and co-ordinate departmental activities and staff assignment.
- Assist with the implementation of the Port Facility Security Plan, monitor and report on the implementation and execution of the plan, and participate in regular inspections of the port facility.
- Assist in investigating and reporting on all instances of pilferage and cargo claims, maintaining records of occurrences that threaten the security of the Port, and in preparing and issuing of Port Ids, under the guidance of the Chief Surveillance Officer.
- Deputize in the absence of the Chief Surveillance Officer and assist in staff training and supervision of staff and conduct performance appraisals.
- Conduct frequent patrols and inspection of the facility, record findings andpropose measures to correct them.
- Liaize with the Police Officers stationed at the Port facility.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree in Security Operations or Maritime Operations.
- International Ship Security System Certification (ISPS).
- The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Certification.
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a security or related field and as a supervisor.
- At least three (3) years' experience within the logistics, transportation, marine facility sector, or trade/port industry is preferred.
